Produces a wealth of 18 cm long, succulent green fruits. A delicacy braised or stir fried. Tall growing, sun-loving crop. These are cucumber-like vegetables with an exceptionally fine flavour which have become very popular in recent years. Sow out of doors in a seed-bed in late spring and plant out at 1 x 1 M. Cultivation can be forced under glass but do not plant the seedlings out in the open before the danger of frost is over. Harvest in autumn. |
