Globular lilac flowers appear in May-June. The finely chopped leaves are tasty in salads, ragouts, sauces and dressings. Chives can also be frozen. These handy seed pads (diam. 8 cm) are ready to use. Place the round pads straight into a pot, cover with soil and water regularly. The seeds will germinate within several days.
