These long, slender beans taste quite exquisite and produce a high yield. The pods must not be allowed to get too thick as this detracts from the flavour. For the best results sow after the 15th May and before 20th July. Haricot vert, or filet beans, are completely stringless and heavy cropping. If the beans are picked when young and thin, new beans will continue to appear, allowing you to enjoy this gourmet variety for months on end. |
