Water Lily 'Hollandia' - Plant
Plant the roots of the Water Lily Water Lily 'Hollandia' in a horizontal manner in a large pond basket filled with special water lily soil. Cover the basket with jute and fill the pond with special soil. Plant the roots in the basket, fill with soil and add a growth ball. Cover everything with the remaining jute and sprinkle with a layer of gravel. Place the basket at least 40 cm deep, or even up to 60 cm deep in the pond. In order to experience a rich bloom, this plant should be placed in a sunny area. Light shade is also tolerated. This plant's leaves take up a large amount of space and therefore, this plant is not suitable for a small pond.
The glossy leaves of the Water Lily 'Hollandia' have a look of beautiful marble. Put one of its flowers in a vase so that you can continue to enjoy its delicious scent!
For an extra good growth, we recommend adding a growth ball in the Water Lily's pond basket each spring. Remove its dead leaves from the pond in autumn. Be sure to place the basket at least 40 cm deep in order to prevent freezing. Is the Water Lily too large? In May, you can dig up its roots and cut them into smaller pieces and replant them apart.
