Scented Hedging Rose - Shrub
Plant your Hedging Rose 'Stromboli' in a hole 60-80 cm deep. Prepare the soil with compost and manure. Soak the rose bushes in water for one hour before planting. Divide the rose bushes in the hole, placing three bushes for every metre. You can also plant a double row for an extra wide hedge. Spread the roots out well and plant them at the correct depth. This means that the frost sensitive graft union (the thickening where the branches form) should be about 5 cm beneath the soil. Fill with soil, and give it lots of water so that is almost turns into a swamp.
You can use this rosebush as either a solitary plant or in your border. Its flowers smell delicious and make a beautiful bouquet!
