Vinca minor is a very strong plant that requires little maintenance. Water regularly during dry periods so the soil around the roots does not dry out. The flowering will continue the whole summer. The flowering will be richer if planted In a sunny spot. In early spring cut back dead leaves and stems that are too long. This is done easily with hedge shears. Soon new shoots will appear again above the soil and the small periwinkles will again form a small fresh green carpet.
