3 Trixi® Lemon Sorbet with Hanging Basket ® - Plant

This hanging sea of flowers Trixi® ‘Lemon Sorbet’ is at its best in a hanging basket. Line a hanging basket with coco matting or with sphagnum moss. Put a piece of plastic at the bottom of the basket to preserve the irrigation water in the basket. Use fresh potting compost and plant the root balls of the Trixi® 'Lemon Sorbet' at the right depth in the basket. The planting distance is approximately 10-15 cm. Fill with compost and press firmly. Remember when planting to plant some of the root balls round the sides of the basket to create a ball of colour. Water generously immediately after planting and place the basket with Trixi® 'Lemon Sorbet' in a spot in full sun or partial shade. You can also plant this cheerful mix in a tall flower pot. Petunia, Bidens and Calibrachoa can't tolerate frost well, so watch out for late frosts!

Our new mix Trixi® ‘Lemon Sorbet’ fills a hanging basket or tall pot with a special colour combination. Cheerful orange, sunny yellow and fresh green yellow flowers are real eye-catchers! Bidens ferulifolia is most of the time an annually cultivated plant with acicular leaves and long stems that elegantly hang over. The star shaped flowers appear all summer long. Calibrachoa is a small flowered Petunia. The almost round orange flowers of the Calibrachoa are truly marvellous. The Petunia has large fresh green-yellow flowers, that are very striking in this sophisticated summer mix. A hanging basket with Trixi® ‘Lemon Sorbet’ cannot be missing during the summer on your pario or decking!

Petunia, Bidens and Calibrachoa are easy summer flowerers that will bear flowers up until autumn with the right care. Water your Trixi® ‘Lemon Sorbet’ regularly to prevent the soil from drying out. Water on a daily basis during warm periods. Make sure that there is good drainage otherwise constant wetness may lead to root rot. We recommend removing the faded flower stems on a regular basis to encourage continual flowering. For an extra rich flowering, it is recommended to add plant food along with water regularly during the summer. The plants are not winter hardy but you can preserve them in a frost-free area.
