  • A north-facing border lies in the shadow for most of the day, so plants that thrive in the shade must be chosen. We have a large range of shade plants to choose from.

  • An east-facing border gets quite a lot of sun so sun-worshippers will feel at home. Plants in an east-facing position also need plenty of water in order to develop properly.

  • A west-facing border is more exposed to the wind so strong, sturdy, low-growing plants are recommended as these are less vulnerable to wind.

  • A south-facing border lies in the sun for long periods every day, so the plants will in any case need regular watering. It is also important to choose plants that can withstand hot sunshine.
